5.2 Validated and Audited Foundation

The Carrot smart contract is based on ERC-1155. This multi-token standard supports multiple types of tokens, batch operations, safe transfers, and hooks. The flexibility provided within a single smart contract is at the core of bridging traceability with liquidity. There are as many Carrot token IDs as there are projects.

Carrots are fractionable and can be minted fractionally at no extra complexity. A Carrot slice represents a gram of CO2 removed, while a Carrot refers to a million slices, hence 1 ton of CO2 removed.

A small percentage (2%) of minted Carrot tokens are shared between the Tracer DAO and the Carrot project.
